Spectral Reflections

Spectral Reflections is rooted in the exploration of color, transparency, and perception. It began as an experiment with photographing cellophane under colored lighting, but through digital manipulation (layering, mirroring, and inverting the images) new forms emerged. What initially appeared as purely abstract compositions started to suggest figurative elements as if the light and reflections contained hidden images waiting to be discovered.

This speaks to the way our minds instinctively seek meaning, even in seemingly random arrangements. The interplay of transparency and reflection creates an illusion of depth, where color and shape appear to float in an undefined space. The images shift between abstraction and recognition, inviting the viewer to find their own interpretations within the compositions.

This series explores the fluid nature of perception. How light and material interact to generate unexpected forms, and how abstraction can hold a quiet, elusive sense of presence.
